Pastor Adam Love is a recently commissioned provisional elder in the Western North Carolina Conference of The United Methodist Church. Shortly after being appointed to Ann Street UMC in Concord in 2013, the congregation grew to love and appreciate his endearing personality and energetic preaching style.

While serving the church as a licensed local pastor, Adam completed his studies at Hood Theological Seminary in Salisbury. In May of 2015, he and his wife Tracy graduated Suma Cum Laude with the exact same GPA. In recognition of their academic excellence and contributions to the Hood community, both were awarded the 2015 Faculty Award. Thanks to their experiences at Hood, the Loves have a deep appreciation for the diversity and the potential of the kingdom of God.

While working to live into his calling as a United Methodist pastor, Adam has discovered a passion for serving those who need to hear the good news of the Gospel in a new way. In time, this passionate revivalist hopes to be an effective agent of change in the local church and even the denomination itself.

Adam does have a few hobbies that help him unwind and express himself. While he doesn’t hunt and he’s not very good at fishing, he occasionally likes to get away and spend a little time with God in a boat...with a line in the water...and the breeze at his back. As time allows, he also enjoys strolling through antique malls and knick-knack shops where he might find some great treasure. Adam also enjoys photography, carpentry, theater, music, and the Carolina Panthers.

As he transitions into his new role as the pastor at First UMC of Landis, he hopes to build strong relationships based on love and respect. As both church and pastor learn about each other, hopefully the grace and mercy of Jesus Christ will be the most influential aspect of this newly created partnership in ministry.
